At first I was a bit hesitant thinking,'another feel good girly group'. I was going because I wanted very much for my friend to go and get connected. I had no idea what I was in for. It is an experience of a lifetime! I immediately felt loved, accepted and appreciated. The time spent in Apples of Gold was the best use of my time. I honestly can't think of anything I would rather have been doing than being at Apples of Gold! I am a mother of 3 and I needed a break. I needed to feel pampered and spoiled. I needed to be encouraged, enlightened and to know that God's love is abundant. Most of all I needed to laugh. I got all of this and so much more as an Apple in Apples of Gold. With every meeting I felt more a part of the network of women that were compassionate and truely cared for me and every person in the room. Apples of Gold is an amazing experience. To close I would say that Apples changed me in a way I did not expect. I now have these connections to strong loving Christian women that are an amazing support system and encouragement to me. I take pride in the fact that I was fortunate enough to be an Apple! ....Trisha
I had noticed those verses in Titus 2:3-5, and pondered over how God wanted me to follow their instruction. I was(and still am) not an 'expert' on any of those subjects, but have found the environment of AOG to be a friendly and comfortable opportunity to sit under ladies who had already 'been there' at each life phase I found myself experiencing. The ladies I had Spent so much time serving with at Grace church were now becoming my friends, confidants, and prayer partners. How liberating! And now I find myself with a similar opportunity to befriend other ladies for whom I have 'been there'! And share fun activities together as we grow in sisterhood! I can't wait to share this journey together!
